EXHIBITION AT THE ROYAL ARMY MUSEUM IN BRUSSELS - PROLONGATION

For their centennial, the Royal Army Museum in Brussels and the Royal Society of Friends of the Army Museum, honor me with the invitation to present a retrospective ensemble of my works, mainly about Napoleonic and, of course, the Waterloo campaign. Among rare authentic items out for the occasion from public and private collections, are shown pictures and posters of my beginnings as a professional artist, gouaches and oil paintings from private collections and a chosen set from what has been done about the battle of Ligny for the city of Fleurus, a total of 85 artworks of all sizes, and sketches, projects, etc. The Royal Army Museum teams have done a wonderful enhancement. The exhibition is now open and we warmly hope to see you . PROLONGATION TILL MAY 20th 2012.

Less known artworts of the artist

Patrice Courcelle is less known for his Antiquity and Middle Ages artworks than for his reputed napoleonic illustrations and paintings. Those roman cavalrymen are from "L'Histoire Militaire des Belges" (The Military History of the Belgians", an imposant serie of plates realized for the Jacobs-Suchard-Côte d'Or holding during the 80's.

Contante opportunity to own an original artwork

Contante opportunity to own an original painting. Among the works of Patrice Courcelle, some are still available for sale. The originals are often made to double (at least 150%) of their reproduction and are of quality, color and volume, no current method does not know him justice. Prices, demand-driven to some extent, can be very affordable in some cases. But it will always be a good opportunity. See "Gallery" for some examples. Contact the artist for availability and information.
