DOWNLOADABLE DOCUMENTARY PLATES
These plates are available virtually, downloadable and each is accompanied with an explanatory text. They will be of high enough resolution to be printed if you wish, in the manner that suits you best.
The collection begins. The overall project will be divided into three main areas:
1) The basics, the ABCs of French military uniforms from roughly 1792 to 1815. This is a vast programme, and in order to be as comprehensive as possible, I will even include plates of underwear, known as ‘small equipment’.
2) Personalities and staff, an essential, rich and inexhaustible subject.
3) Hougoumont. A battle within the Battle of Waterloo. A project that is close to my heart. The uniforms of French, British and Nassau soldiers, battle scenes never before depicted.
